Contractors — Bye-Law No. 19 of 2016

Part XX — Bwari Area Council FCT Abuja, Nigeria

Pursuant to Section 7 and the Fourth Schedule to the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999, and relevant sections of the Local Government Act, Laws of the FCT Abuja 2006, the Bwari Area Council makes this Bye-Law.

Any person or organization that undertakes any form of contract shall register with the Council upon payment of the prescribed registration fees. Any person who was already in operation before the enactment of this Bye-Law shall also register with the Council.

The Area Council shall have the power to fix and review all yearly fees required under this Bye-Law. It shall also be lawful for the Council to receive fees for Agreement on Sale of Land, Certificate of Occupancy, Change of Ownership, and Searches.
